I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and the NOPE Task Force for coming to Alonso High School this morning.
I have spoken to a number of the seniors in attendance throughout the day today and each has expressed appreciation for the message and concern for those who did not listen. My immediate question to each of them was “Did you listen”, and “Will you be a hero to someone, even yourself, someday?”
While everyone in attendance listened, my hope is they actually heard the message and can muster up the strength to take care of themselves and make the call for one of their friends if the situation is ever warranted.
Thanks again for all you do for the kids of Hillsborough County. I can’t imagine how many lives you have helped to save with the message.
